Project overview

The scheme was to convert a large mill complex consisting of several large stone buildings into a new housing community.  The site is in a wonderfully picturesque location and contains a large pond so the scheme made full use of creating properties with wonderful views.  Traditional materials and styles were needed throughout the design, but several more modern elements, such as large glazing panels, were introduced.  This very large and complex project ran for nearly 20 years, across several phases of work, numerous planning and technical approvals, from initial concept to the final completion of all building works; the project was finally completed in 2020.
